About

Reconcile the City is the ministry vision that the Lord has given to us to bring Gospel ministry to police officers, their families and the communities they serve. Curt served as a police officer with the Columbia Police Department for 19 years. He left that position in 2012 to pursue ministry training. Upon Curt’s graduation from seminary, Curt and Lanaea felt led to pursue a focused ministry that seeks to address the needs and brokenness that uniquely affects the police community. Our key Bible passages that frame our ministry vision are:

2 Corinthians 5:18 – “ All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.”

Isaiah 58:10-12 – “If you pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in the darkness and your gloom be as the noonday. And the Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. And your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; you shall be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of streets to dwell in.”

Jeremiah 29:7 –  But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.

Curt and Lanaea have been married for 22 years and have three great kids, Jacob(20), Spencer(17), and Ruthie(10). The Snead’s live outside of Columbia, South Carolina.
